Highly anticipated news has emerged regarding a fresh collaboration between acclaimed director Puri Jagannadh and versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi. Amidst growing excitement, Vijay Sethupathi recently confirmed their upcoming pan-India film project, affirming that Puri Jagannadh narrated a compelling story that left a strong impression. The film is set to be a significant venture, with a diverse cast reportedly including veteran actresses Tabu and Radhika Apte, alongside Nivetha Thomas and Duniya Vijay.

Addressing rampant speculation about the film’s title, particularly rumors about it being ‘Beggar’, Vijay Sethupathi emphatically refuted these claims. “We have not finalized the title yet,” he stated, clarifying that any circulating posters were AI-generated by enthusiastic fans and not official. This indicates that the makers are keeping the project’s official name under wraps for now, building anticipation for its grand reveal.

When asked about his excitement to work with Puri Jagannadh, Vijay Sethupathi expressed profound respect for the director. “I have a huge respect for that man (Puri) and I watched his movies,” he shared. Recounting the narration experience, he revealed, “I thought the narration would take two days… But, he narrated me the story for almost three and a half hours, and it was so good. We had fun and I enjoyed the narration.” This suggests a powerful and engaging narrative has been crafted.

Vijay Sethupathi further confirmed that the team plans to commence the film’s shoot in June. Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under their banner Puri Connects, this yet-to-be-titled project is touted as a cinematic extravaganza. The film will be released in multiple languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi – ensuring a wide pan-India reach. Sethupathi’s eagerness to work under Puri’s direction, even more than the audience’s anticipation, highlights the promising synergy between the actor and the director.
