Saif Ali Khan has lost 15 thousand crores of property

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, known for his illustrious career and royal lineage, has recently made headlines for an unexpected twist in his ancestral property dispute. Reports suggest that a massive inheritance worth ₹15,000 crores has now fallen under the purview of the Madhya Pradesh government. While Saif’s known assets amount to ₹1,300 crores, this colossal ancestral property’s origins have raised intrigue. It traces back to Saif’s ancestor Muthammamma, who left the country during the partition of India.

The ₹15,000-crore inheritance in question is tied to the Enemy Property Act, which stipulates that any property left behind in India by individuals who moved to Pakistan during partition is considered state property. This law applies to Muthammamma’s property, which has since been claimed by the Madhya Pradesh government. Saif Ali Khan, however, contested the decision, arguing that the property belongs to his family and should remain with him as part of his ancestral legacy. A quash petition filed by him led to a stay order, which temporarily delayed further action.

The matter resurfaced when the stay order expired on December 13, 2024. With the stay no longer in place, the Bhopal High Court revisited the case. Despite having a 30-day window to appeal the decision, Saif Ali Khan reportedly did not take further legal action. As a result, the court ruled that the ₹15,000-crore property officially belongs to the Madhya Pradesh government, marking a significant turn in the actor’s legal battle.

The verdict has sparked a wave of reactions online, with netizens commenting on the colossal loss to Saif Ali Khan and how this historic property has now entered the state treasury. While some see it as a strict implementation of the law, others view it as a missed opportunity for the actor to reclaim his family’s heritage. This development has added an unexpected chapter to Saif Ali Khan’s life, blending his royal ancestry with modern legal complexities.
