The movie “Dakshina” stars Rishabh Basu in another important role as Sai Dhansika of ‘Kabali’ fame. Directed by director Osho Tulsiram, this movie has come to the audience today. And let’s go to the review and find out how much it pleased the audience!

Story:

Dakshina (Sai Dhansika) is a serious police officer. Murders of girls are taking place on four sides of the city. A psycho kidnaps one after another and brutally beheads the girls. Who is that psycho?, why is he killing girls so badly? What are some of the dramatic developments that took place in this order?, In the middle of this, an atrocity will happen in the life of ‘ACP Dakshina’. How did Dakshina take revenge on the psycho who committed that atrocity? That’s the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Sai Dhansika of ‘Kabali’ fame, who played the lead role in this movie, acted very well with her body language and some emotional and crime sequences. Sai Dhansika surprised the audience with her performance mainly in some key scenes. Rishav Basu who played the other lead role also did very well. Rishav Basu’s performance especially in the climax is very good. His performance in the serious crime scenes became the highlight of the film.

The flash back in Sai Dhansika’s character point of view is also good. Similarly, director Osho Tulseeram’s way of handling the film from multiple angles around the murders of girls is good at some places. Subhash, Ananda Bharti and other actors who have played other roles have also been convincing in their roles. That said, the first scene of the movie increased the interest in the movie.

Minus Points:

Although there is an interesting crime drama in this Dakshina movie, the play is very simple in some places. Most of the scenes in the first half were boring. The first half should have been written more strongly. Along with this, the unnecessary lag scenes have also increased. Moreover, this movie goes with slow narration along with boring treatment and fake emotions.

Actually, how can an ACP do violence so easily?, Since the whole movie revolves around this point, this point needs to be established and conveyed in strong detail. All in all, except for some key scenes and the interval scene in the first half, the rest of the scenes are not impressive. And director Osho Tulseeram tried well to make the second half a bit emotional, but that emotion could not be fully worked out anywhere.

Moreover, the movie is stretched with poor scenes around silly emotions. Overall these southern movie makers elevated the content they wanted on the screen, but some scenes were not good. Also the scenes in the climax are not impressive.

Technical Department:

Talking about the technical department.. Director Osho Tulseeram could not add good treatment to good crime thrillers and increase interest. The play should have been written a little better. The cinematography of nursing in the movie is good. Along with the opening scenes of the movie, the cameraman showed some key scenes in the second half very naturally. Balaji’s music is good. Background music doesn’t matter either. The editing would have been a plus for the movie if it had been better. Producer Ashok Shinde’s production values are also good.

Verdict:

This emotional crime mystery drama called ‘Dakshina’ did not impress. Although some crime scenes and the first sequence are good, the screenplay is slow, there are no interesting scenes in the first half, and the logic is missing in some key scenes. Overall this crime action drama failed to fully entertain the audience.
