Amaran is a biopic starring Tamil hero Siva Karthikeyan. This movie is based on the life story of Major Mukund Varadarajan. Directed by Rajkumar Periyaswamy, this movie released in theaters today. Let’s go into the review and see how this movie fares.
Story:
The story revolves around the immense service of Major Mukund Varadarajan to the country and the operations he performed in the army for the security of the country. Mukund Varadarajan (Shiva Karthikeyan) dreams of becoming an army officer since childhood. Mukund Varadarajan joins the army despite his family’s disapproval. In the midst of this, Rebecca Varghese (Sai Pallavi) is coming into Mukund Varadarajan’s life. Both of them fall in love since their college days. In this order, after Mukund Varadarajan went to the army, what happened in his life?, how did his life go?, finally what did Mukund Varadarajan sacrifice for the country? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Amaran.. Just like the name, this movie also has the same emotion. That is the sacrifice. This emotional realistic biography of Siva Karthikeyan is different from his previous films. In this movie, Siva Karthikeyan’s effort to show freshness in his looks and action is very good. Especially Siva Karthikeyan’s performance as an army officer and major is the highlight of the movie. The love scenes with Sai Pallavi and the chemistry between them are also very impressive.
The main story, treatment and some emotional scenes written by director Rajkumar Periyaswamy are very good. Especially the emotional scenes between Sai Pallavi and Siva Karthikeyan are very good. Sai Pallavi impressed with her performance. She got another good role in this role. Bhuvan Arora – C, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Sreekumar did full justice to their roles. Also the rest of the actors also did justice to their roles.
In this ‘Amaran’ story, the way emotions are shown between ‘Army officers and their families’ is very thoughtful. Similarly, GV Prakash Kumar’s music is also impressive. The director also designed the climax wonderfully. All in all, along with good emotions, the background of the army and every character of the army has been designed very well by the director.
Minus Points:
Despite the depth and emotion behind the story of ‘Amaran’, some scenes in the first half are slow. In fact, the main plot as well as the main characters, although their cinematography is very good.. but the story moves slowly in one or two scenes. It would have been better if the starting scenes of the second half had been made more interesting.
Technical Department:
Technically, the work of the technical department in the film is very good. GV Prakash Kumar’s music is a plus for the movie. Similarly, C.H. Sai’s cinematography is the highlight of the film. The cameraman’s work in some key scenes is very good. Editor R. Kalaivanan’s editing is good. The producers of the movie Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran’s production values are amazing. Director Rajkumar Periasamy impressed with his writing and direction.
Verdict:
In this biographical emotional drama called ‘Amaraan’, Shiva Karthikeyan’s acting, army background scenes, main plot of patriotism, and family sentiment, also action scenes and Shiva Karthikeyan – Sai Pallavi’s Taluk emotions are very good. The climax is also very impressive. However, some scenes were regular. Overall, this movie is very impressive to the audience.
