Revanth Reddy: Revanth Reddy in another controversy...satires on shoes?

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has found himself at the center of yet another controversy. This time, the debate has been sparked by his choice of footwear. During a recent visit to Satya Nadendla’s residence in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy was spotted wearing shoes reportedly valued at ₹95,000, igniting criticism from opposition parties, particularly the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), commonly referred to as the Pink Party.

The TRS alleges that while the state government under Congress is struggling to fulfill its promises, such as disbursing Rythu Bandhu funds and pensions to farmers, the Chief Minister’s use of expensive items sends the wrong message. Party members have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction, accusing Revanth Reddy of extravagance while the state faces financial challenges.

Drawing comparisons, the TRS has pointed out that during his decade-long tenure, former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) refrained from indulging in such luxuries. They sarcastically questioned whether using lavish items aligns with the ideals of public service and leadership.

The Congress, however, has yet to issue a formal response to these allegations. Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy’s supporters argue that personal lifestyle choices should not overshadow his governance or policies aimed at benefiting Telangana’s people. As the issue gains traction, it remains to be seen how this will affect the ongoing political discourse in the state.
