Rajahmundry Railway Station is gearing up for a grand makeover with ₹271 crore sanctioned by the central government under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This major development is aimed at preparing the station for the Godavari Pushkaralu 2027, a cultural and religious event that attracts millions of devotees. The station’s redevelopment includes modern amenities and better passenger services, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing travel infrastructure. The upgrades aim to accommodate the rising footfall and elevate Rajahmundry’s status as a significant transit hub during the holy Pushkaralu event.
These developments ensure long-term benefits for the region, creating an efficient and traveler-friendly railway station. As a pivotal project under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Rajahmundry’s modernization showcases the central government’s efforts to combine infrastructure growth with cultural significance.
