It's not because of Balayya.. Producer's statement on casting Urvashi Rautela in ``Daku Maharaj''

The much-anticipated film Daku Maharaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is set to release on January 12, 2025. Directed by Bobby, the film features Pragya Jaishwal and Shraddha Srinath as the heroines, with Urvashi Rautela making a special appearance in a song titled Dabidi Dibidi. However, the song has stirred controversy, with some moments involving Balakrishna and Urvashi being trolled online.

In response to the trolling, producer Nagavamshi was questioned about the decision to cast Urvashi despite already having two heroines in the film. His reaction to the situation was lighthearted and bold. He humorously shared that Balakrishna had suggested to the two heroines to “beat each other up,” referencing the playful nature of the film’s scenes, which included Urvashi’s special song.

Nagavamshi emphasized that the team has planned a grand pre-release event for Daku Maharaj in Anantapur on January 9, with massive releases across Telugu states and in the US. He expressed confidence in the film’s success, highlighting the film’s intense action sequences and emotional depth, which he believes will make Daku Maharaj one of the most memorable films of Balakrishna’s career.

Director Bobby Kolli also spoke about the film, mentioning that the project was carefully crafted to showcase Balakrishna in a fresh light, with diversity in every aspect. He believes that Daku Maharaj will inspire many films in the future and provide fans with a thrilling cinematic experience, combining action, entertainment, and heartfelt moments for family audiences.
