Hyderabad: BRS Working President KTR said that State Minister Konda Surekha made baseless and defamatory comments against him. In this order, KTR sent a legal notice to Surekha. Minister Surekha alleged that KTR was the reason behind the divorce between Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. KTR denied Surekha’s accusations of phone tapping during his tenure as a minister and the outrageous comments linking him with the divorce of actors Samantha and Naga Chaitanya.
In the legal notice, KTR clarified that Surekha’s comments were aimed at tarnishing his reputation by dragging unrelated people. He expressed his displeasure over Surekha using the names of actors to advance his political agenda. KTR has vehemently denied the false allegations of phone tapping and other allegations, stressing that they are completely fabricated.
The notice highlighted that Surekha was making these statements deliberately to abuse his political platform to tarnish KTR’s image for political purposes. KTR condemned a woman in public life using the name of another woman, the names of public representatives and attacking their character without any proof. He pointed out that the defamation was widely publicized in the media and social media platforms and the malice behind such acts.
KTR questioned how a working minister like Konda Surekha can make such irresponsible comments without any evidence. The notice reminded that this is not the first time that Konda Surekha has made such baseless statements. KTR said that similar defamatory comments were made before a year too, for which notices were sent in April.
KTR reminded Konda Surekha that the Election Commission had already issued severe warnings to Konda Surekha regarding her previous comments, but she is again engaging in similar activities. He claimed that her recent comments were part of a planned plan to repeatedly defame him and tarnish his reputation.
In his legal notice, KTR demanded that Konda Surekha withdraw her comments immediately and publicly apologize for spreading falsehood. He warned that if she did not apologize within 24 hours, she would be liable for her comments with a defamation suit and criminal proceedings.
