Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has stirred political discussions with his sharp remarks on the ongoing ration rice adulteration case involving YSRCP leader Perni Nani. Speaking to the media, Pawan expressed serious concerns over the disappearance of ration rice and criticized the government’s alleged inaction. He asserted that merely repaying the value of the missing rice is not a solution, emphasizing the need for accountability. “Is it wrong to file cases when something goes wrong? Actions taken within the framework of the law are not wrong. Insulting women in one household and then claiming victimhood when accused is hypocrisy,” Pawan stated, pointing to the allegations against Nani’s family.

The controversy centers around the discovery of missing ration rice worth ₹1.78 crore from a warehouse allegedly registered under the name of Perni Nani’s wife. This led to the filing of criminal cases against her and another individual. Following this, Perni Nani held a press conference, claiming that the accusations were politically motivated. “It is unfair to drag my family into this. If a political party has issues, they should target me, not my family,” Nani remarked, further alleging that lookout notices against him and his son were also part of this political vendetta.

Pawan Kalyan, however, dismissed these claims, insisting on the importance of justice and transparency. “The disappearance of ration rice is a serious issue. Accepting wrongdoing and adhering to legal procedures is the right course of action. Political bias cannot be used as an excuse to evade accountability,” he said. He also expressed dissatisfaction over alleged smuggling activities involving the forest department, warning that stringent measures would be taken to curb such practices.

As the issue intensifies, the case is being widely debated as a political conspiracy by some and a genuine legal matter by others. While Perni Nani has vehemently denied the allegations and sought justice for his family, Pawan Kalyan’s firm stance underscores his commitment to addressing corruption. With the ration rice scandal gaining political traction, the public eagerly awaits more clarity and resolution on this matter in the coming days.
