Recently released in Tamil, the anthology film “Hot Spot” was a great success. And this movie has been brought to streaming in Telugu dubbed version by our Telugu streaming app Aha. And let’s know how this movie is in the review.
Story:
Coming to the story… a young director Mohammad Shafi (Vignesh Karthik) who wants to become a film director meets a producer (Bala Manimarban) who is annoyed after hearing the original routine stories. The producer gives only 10 minutes to Shafi. At this time he starts telling an interesting story and in addition to it starts some more interesting stories. And what are those stories? Did the producer like those stories? If you want to know whether Vignesh is the director or not, you have to watch this movie.
Plus Points:
It must be said that the film definitely hits the anthology point. With four different stories in total, these four are decent to watch and each story is thought provoking at a time. Also, among the stories in this film, the first story is Happy Married Life and the fourth story is Face Games.
Solid emotions make the story that runs through them pleasing. Also both seem to be thought provoking with two social aspects. And it must be said that the actors are impressive with their performances in this anthology. 96 fame young actress Gauri G Kishan, Ammu Abhirami and Aditya Bhaskar gave natural performances in this anthology. Along with them, Janani, Subhash and Kalaiyarasan and others have given good performances to the extent of their roles.
Minus Points:
In this anthology film, the director has tried to take all the stories as unique concepts. But even out of these four, two stories do not feel completely satisfactory. Main story two and four seems a little weak second story golden rules seems to be related to the love of same family. But it doesn’t seem that engaging.
Also, if the third story is tomato chutney, the family audience may find it a bit disturbing. The narrative in this feels a little awkwardly over-the-top. The director should be a little careful in this regard. Besides these, the third and fourth stories seem a little stretched. These should also be cut with a slightly shorter run time. Also, the adult factor scenes in the movie should be limited.
Technical category:
The production values taken by the original Tamil makers in this anthology film are good. Also, the precautions taken by our people regarding Telugu dubbing are also good. Decent dubbing, clicked. Also the music is good. Editing should be done a little better in the second half. Cinematography is also good.
It must be said that the director Vignesh Karthik has given a decent work not only as an actor but also as a director for this film. His idea is pleasing in this movie. If those two stories were handled better, he would have given a better feel with this film. Still they look decent.
Verdict:
Overall, there are four different stories in this anthology film “Hot Spot”. Both are good unique concepts, but only two are fully satisfying in hunting. It would be better if the other two are presented better. Also the performances of the actors are also good. But if you don’t mind if it is a bit slow and different in OTT, you can try this anthology on Aha.
