OTT Review: “Bloody Ishq..” – Hindi Movie on DisneyPlus Hot Star

Avika Gor’s latest horror thriller movie Bloody Ishq is streaming on Disneyplus Hot Star. Let’s see in this review how much this movie directed by Vikram Bhatt impressed the audience.

Story:

After an accident, Neha (Avika Gore), who has forgotten her past, is brought by her husband Romesh (Vardhan Puri) to a luxury estate in Scotland. However, as Neha has some scary experiences in it, she believes that the estate is haunted. But her husband Romesh says there is no such thing. But as Neha grows suspicious, she thinks that Romesh is hiding something from her. Who is Ayesha (Jennifer Piccinato) in this story? What is her relationship with Neha and Romesh..? Has Neha really forgotten the past? Are there really ghosts in that estate.. or is it something someone wants to do..? You have to watch this movie to learn about these things.

Plus Points:

Why Avika Gore shows interest in horror films is proved once again with this film. In the movie Bloody Ishq, she impressed the audience with her decent expressions.

Vardhan Puri gave a good performance in his role. Especially his scenes with Avika Gore are good. His acting is good in the scenes where he scares her.

The role played by Jennifer Piccinato is short but very important to the story. She gave a good performance in this role. Rahul Dev’s cameo didn’t matter.

Minus Points:

Choice of elements is more important than story for horror thriller movies. A horror movie should create fear and tension in the audience. In this movie, Vikram Bhatt has become a pail in choosing that subject.

Poor screenplay and CGI works are the minus of this movie. It must be said that the climax of this movie is also a minus as it could not scare the audience at all.

Lack of compelling story, long scenes fail to create any thrills in the audience. Audience will lose interest to watch this movie.

The story of this movie is predictable and the run time of this movie is 2.15 hours which is very boring. The audience will watch the movie for a long time because of the difficulty.

If Avika Gore wants to fully show her talent, it would be better if she chooses other genres than the horror thriller genre and plays good roles.

Technical Department:

It is definitely not a Vikram Bhatt level movie. The script by Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Das is very weak. If you watch this movie, you can understand why this movie was released directly in OTT instead of in theaters. Cinematography, music, graphics, not even a single aspect of the movie. Even Shweta Botra’s dialogues were not impressive at all.

Verdict:

Overall, Bloody Ishq is a disappointing movie for horror thriller genre lovers. The movie failed to impress the audience due to the lack of thrilling elements and scary scenes. The performance of the actors is okay but the poor technical performance does not help to watch this movie at all. Those looking for a pure horror thriller movie can skip this movie.
