Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has made history by delivering two consecutive ₹200 crore grossers with L2: Empuraan and Thudarum, a remarkable achievement in the Malayalam film industry. Thudarum surpassed the much-hyped L2: Empuraan in Kerala and became the state’s first ₹100 crore grosser. The gripping crime thriller continues to draw audiences to theaters, maintaining an impressive theatrical run.

Due to this strong box office performance, the digital release of Thudarum has been slightly postponed. JioHotstar, which holds the film’s post-theatrical streaming rights, announced that the movie will begin streaming from May 30, 2025. The theatrical window for the film stands at five weeks.

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum features an ensemble cast including Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, and Aarsha Chandini Baiju in significant roles. The film is produced by M. Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy.

Fans and movie lovers are eagerly awaiting to watch this blockbuster hit on OTT. JioHotstar’s official Malayalam handle confirmed the streaming date with much excitement, marking another milestone for Mohanlal and Malayalam cinema.
