A bench of Justice Bharti Dangre and Manjusha Deshpande made it clear that continuing the trial in this case is nothing but abuse of court process. In its order dated July 22, the bench clarified that the evidence gathered against the heroine was prima facie insufficient to consider her guilty. The court held that Mamata Kulkarni had never committed any wrongdoing despite years of allegations. The court said that the scandal affected her public image and damaged her Bollywood career.
