The latest petrol and diesel prices for January 23 have been released, and there have been no changes in fuel rates across major cities. Despite fluctuations in international crude oil prices, domestic fuel rates have remained stable. The last time petrol and diesel prices were revised was on March 14, 2024, when oil companies reduced the prices by ₹2 per liter, providing some relief to consumers. Since then, there have been no further changes in fuel rates.

In major cities, petrol and diesel prices remain as follows: In Delhi, petrol costs ₹94.72 per liter and diesel ₹87.62, while in Mumbai, petrol is priced at ₹103.44 and diesel at ₹89.97. In Kolkata, petrol stands at ₹103.94 and diesel at ₹90.76, whereas in Chennai, the rates are ₹100.85 for petrol and ₹92.44 for diesel. Other cities like Bengaluru, Lucknow, Noida, Gurugram, Chandigarh, and Patna have similar price trends, with Patna recording one of the highest petrol rates at ₹105.18 per liter.

Fuel prices are updated daily at 6 AM, and consumers can easily check the latest rates online or via SMS services. Indian Oil customers can send “RSP” followed by their city code to 9224992249, while BPCL customers can send “RSP” to 9223112222.
