Kolikipudi Srinivas Rao: Thiruvuru Constituency TDP MLA Kolikipudi Srinivasa Rao has become controversial once again with his latest comments. His inappropriate comments regarding the welfare of farmers have been heavily criticized across the state. In particular, his comments like comparing farmers to dogs created protests at various levels.
Kolikipudi alleged that even though he had undertaken many programs for the farmers, they did not support him. However, there is strong opposition from his party ranks on these comments. Earlier, an incident of insulting a sarpanch in his constituency also turned into a controversy and the sarpanch’s wife committed suicide, sparking debate in political circles.

Against this background, Kolikipudi took up initiation demanding an inquiry into the allegations against him. But, rather than regretting his comments, he spoke in a way that justified his comments on farmers.
These incidents have led to heated debate in the political circles of the state and many are demanding action against him. However, it is considered objectionable that the TDP party leadership has not yet responded to this matter.
