Kayadu Lohar, the rising star who made waves with the film Dragon, is now in the spotlight for an entirely different reason. The model-turned-actress, who hails from Tezpur, Assam, and is currently based in Pune, is allegedly linked to the TASMAC liquor scam in Tamil Nadu.
According to recent reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has found evidence linking Kayadu to individuals involved in the TASMAC scam, which is currently under active investigation. During ED raids, it was revealed that Kayadu had reportedly been in contact with prime suspects connected to the scandal. Additionally, she is said to have attended high-profile night parties, allegedly hosted by individuals involved in the liquor agency scam. Shockingly, each of these parties is believed to have cost around ₹35 lakhs.
Though these claims are yet to be officially confirmed, the controversy has already taken over Kollywood headlines and social media platforms. With no official statement yet from Kayadu or her legal team, speculation continues to grow about her involvement.
This controversy comes at a crucial point in Kayadu’s career. After appearing in films like Pathonpatham Noottandu (Malayalam), Puli: The Nineteenth Century (Telugu), and Alluri (opposite Sri Vishnu), she saw a rise in popularity with Dragon. Just as she was becoming a sought-after name in South Indian cinema, this scandal could pose a serious setback.
Cinema analysts are closely watching how this situation unfolds, as allegations like these can significantly impact an actress’s career, endorsements, and future film projects.
