Amid rising tensions in the Telugu film industry, top producer Allu Aravind publicly backed actor Pawan Kalyan, calling it foolish for anyone to try and stop a Pawan Kalyan film. Adding to this, Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh addressed the media regarding recent developments and reassured the industry about the government’s stance.

Durgesh stated that the coalition government is fully committed to supporting all stakeholders in the film industry, including exhibitors, distributors, and producers. He highlighted that a new inclusive film policy is being formulated to benefit everyone involved in cinema. The Minister also took a subtle dig at opposition leaders, reminding them about the respect this government holds for the film industry.

The minister accused the previous administration of harassing movie stars and underlined that the current coalition government values cinema as a significant cultural medium. He assured that unlike before, no industry figure will face disrespect or targeting under this regime. Durgesh also recalled a key meeting held with industry leaders soon after the coalition took office, where Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan promised to maintain open communication with the film fraternity.

Supporting Allu Aravind’s recent comments, Durgesh stressed the importance of unity among industry members. He praised both AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for their sincere efforts toward the growth and development of Tollywood. With this renewed government backing, the Telugu film industry looks set for a more collaborative and progressive future.
