As a sequel to the blockbuster movie ‘Mattu Vadalara’, ‘Mattu Vadalara 2’ is getting ready to entertain the audience. The film is directed by Ritesh Rana, with Satya playing the lead role of Sri Simha Koduri as his sidekick. Faria Abdullah is playing the heroine. Presented by the prestigious banner Mythri Movie Makers, the film is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainment banner. How was the preparation for ‘Mattu Vadalara 2’?
Very well done. The get-up, the styling of the characters has changed. We showed them as agents of ‘He’ team. Action scenes are more than the first part.
Was the idea of ’Mattu Vadalara 2′ from the beginning?
Cherry and I wanted to make a sequel after it was released and became a hit. Director Ritish started writing the script last year. The characters in the first part travel. We will show you the link of how delivery boys became agents.
Part one was a big hit, wasn’t it.. Are you under pressure for the expectations of the second part?
There will definitely be pressure to make a part 2 as the film is a hit. But for director Ritish, the story came organically to match the first part. That’s why everything is set naturally. All this credit goes to the director.
The movie came out at the time of release. The reason for being so silent earlier?
We thought this was a new strategy. Announcing will get buzz. The audience gets excited because the first part is a hit. However, when the film is completed and released, the buzz may decrease. We did this with the intention of serving it hot before the excitement gets diluted. Looking at the current buzz, it seems that our strategy has worked.
Prabhas has launched the trailer, right? What is his reaction?
Enjoyed a lot. He was very excited after seeing the teaser and trailer song. He spends so much time only if he genuinely likes him.
About working with Faria?
Faria is a good set for funny characters. He naturally has fun. His character also has action in it. Faria appt for this character. In this movie, she wrote the song and choreographed it. It is well used for promotions.
Is it a murder mystery.. a drug back drop?
In the first part, there will be a track about who did the murder along with the drugs track.. In this too, some other layers will be added along with those two.

As much as the first part was a hit, its BGM also got a good name. I am confident that the second part will be the same.
How was it interacting with the audience after the ‘Mattu Vadalara’ rerelease show?
After five years we all saw it together again. Some people missed the first part in theatres. I felt very happy to see all those who missed it.

Rajamouli liked the teaser and trailer very much. Enjoyed a lot. Happy with the product.
When are the premieres?
We are planning. There may be a premiere on the 12th. Still planning.

As far as the first part is concerned they are according to the latest trend. There is a story and characters that even audiences who are not familiar with social media will enjoy. Fun and thrill will be double.
Satya, isn’t your combination super.. how about the second part?
Our chemistry came naturally in the first part. Worked super. In the second part, both of us will be seen through out. Vennela Kishore will be seen in a character unrelated to the first part. That character is very different.
