He learned Telugu by watching movie posters

Renowned music director RP Patnaik attended a program as a guest and made interesting comments on his film journey. So what did RP Patnaik say.. ‘I was born and brought up in Odisha. Hence, in the early days of my career, I had little command of Telugu. I remember that time very well. I learned Telugu by watching Telugu movie posters.

In fact, even though I studied in Oriya, they spoke only Telugu at home. Only Telugu songs are heard. I have never studied adultery. Poems and scriptures are not read. But, I learned a thousand times more knowledge than all of them from Sitarama Shastri. At that time I, Trivikram and Sunil were roommates. Sirivennela was in front of our room.
