Director Mysskin Controversial Remarks on Ilayaraja

Director Shanmugha Raja, popularly known as Mysskin, is renowned for his unique filmmaking style and unconventional shots. However, he recently stirred controversy with remarks about legendary composer Ilayaraja. While discussing the influence of Ilayaraja’s music, Mysskin made statements that upset many fans and industry insiders. Following the backlash, he issued an apology, clarifying that his comments were misunderstood.

Actor Vishal, who previously collaborated with Mysskin on Thupparivaalan, strongly condemned the director’s remarks. Speaking at a media interaction, Vishal expressed his disappointment, stating, “It has become a habit, and what can we do about it?” He further added that some people never change and emphasized that Ilayaraja’s music has played a crucial role in helping many overcome depression. He asserted that no one has the right to speak disrespectfully about a musical legend like Ilayaraja.

This isn’t the first time Mysskin has found himself in controversy. During the teaser launch of Bad Girl, he had apologized to lyricist Thamarai, filmmaker Lenin Bharathi, actor Aruldoss, actress Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, and producer Thanu, admitting that his words had been misinterpreted. However, his repeated controversial statements have continued to create friction within the industry.

Despite his immense talent as a filmmaker, Mysskin’s outspoken nature often lands him in trouble. Whether his latest apology will be accepted remains to be seen, but the industry and fans are closely watching how the situation unfolds.
