Another key area of focus is Hyderabad’s Metro Phase-2 project, for which Rs.24,269 crore has been requested. Six metro corridors have been identified, with the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) already completed. Furthermore, CM Reddy stressed the need for improvements in Warangal’s underground drainage system, requesting an allocation of Rs.4,170 crore for this purpose.
The Union Minister also briefed the CM on the progress of various central schemes in Telangana. The collaboration between the state and central governments is expected to accelerate the region’s development in the coming years.
