In a significant move to attract investments, the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra—Chandrababu Naidu, Revanth Reddy, and Devendra Fadnavis—came together on a single stage at the ‘Country Strategic Dialogue’ meeting in Davos. The event, organized by the Union Ministry of Commerce, aimed to position India as a prime investment destination by promoting opportunities across different states.
The discussion focused on key sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), defense, and green energy. The three states presented their investment potential, highlighting policies and infrastructure that could appeal to global investors. The leaders also exchanged ideas on fostering economic growth and enhancing ease of doing business.
During the session, Chandrababu Naidu made a lighthearted remark, pointing towards Revanth Reddy and Fadnavis, saying, “They are very rich, and we are very poor.” He acknowledged that Mumbai is India’s financial capital, while Telangana has the highest per capita income in the country. His humorous comment drew laughter from the audience, adding a lighter moment to the otherwise serious discussions.
With Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra aggressively competing for investments, Davos has become a crucial platform for these states to showcase their strengths.
