Rewind 2024 : బాలీవుడ్‌ ‘ఖాన్‌’ల ప్రభావం తగ్గుతోంది.. ఇదే సాక్ష్యం

The once-glowing reign of Bollywood’s Khan trio—Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir—seems to have dimmed significantly. This year, none of the Khans made a significant impact on the box office, and their careers appear to be in a slump, overshadowed by a series of flops. Let’s take a look at their recent struggles.

Salman Khan:
After the debacle of Race 3, Salman Khan, popularly known as Sallubhai, has been struggling to reclaim his hit status at the box office. The top hero’s graph has sharply fallen, with recent releases failing to even cross the 100 crore mark. His films Tiger 3 and Dabangg 3 couldn’t revive his image, and flops like Radhe and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan further damaged his reputation. Salman is gearing up for his next release, Sikander, directed by Murugadoss (known for the 100 crore success Ghajini), and hopes to revive his fortunes next Eid.

Shah Rukh Khan:
Shah Rukh Khan had a massive comeback with the successful Pathaan and Jawan, but his latest film, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, failed to live up to the expectations. Despite the film’s potential, Dunki couldn’t match the success of Salar, which released at the same time. Shah Rukh has yet to announce his next project, though rumors suggest he might collaborate with his daughter, Suhana Khan, on a film titled King, which is expected to be an action-packed drama directed by Sujay Ghosh. There is also speculation that Abhishek Bachchan might play the villain in this film, slated for a March release.

Aamir Khan:
Aamir Khan’s career has hit a major low after two consecutive flops: Thugs of Hindostan and Laal Singh Chaddha. His downfall was steep, and Aamir has expressed his disillusionment with the industry. Speaking at a recent event, he shared that after 35 years in the industry, he feels like he has lost something and has decided to take a break. Aamir revealed that he will step away from the camera for at least a year to focus on his family and personal life. He is expected to return to acting in the future, possibly in Sitare Zameen Par, though no concrete plans have been announced. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will make a guest appearance in Kooli, adding further intrigue to his career choices.

In summary, this year has seen the once-dominant Khan trio struggling to maintain their stardom. With a series of box-office failures, the future of these Bollywood icons remains uncertain as they take time to reassess their next moves.
