Raj Kapoor has a special connection with Peshawar, Pakistan. He was born on December 14, 1924 in Peshawar, Pakistan. The cake was cut on the occasion of Raj Kapoor’s centenary at the same Kapoor mansion in Pakistan where he was born. A video related to this has also come out. The video was posted by an ex-user named Mohammad Faheem from Pakistan. The cake cutting is seen in the video. He also posted a photo of Raj Kapoor. While posting the video and photo, Faheem wrote- Happy birthday Raj Kapoor. His 100th birthday was celebrated today at his birth place “Kapoor Haveli”, Peshawar, Pakistan. Cultural Heritage Council of Pakistan, Directorate of Archeology Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized a special program on the occasion of Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary. On this occasion, the people there remembered Raj Kapoor’s ties with Pakistan.
