Atlee – Murugadas : There is nothing special to say about star director Murugadas. He has given excellent films like Ghajini and is currently lagging behind in the race. Atli was a disciple of Muragadas. He worked as an assistant for many films and was promoted as a director. He has no failure so far as a director. Today he has become Pan India Director. All the heroes he works with are star heroes. Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are shaking Bollywood. Now all the heroes working in Atlee India are those who have that range. Seeing his successes? One must not think that the Guru is beyond. His commercial success kept him in that position. The first film `Raja Rani’ earned 50 crores… The second film `Teri’ collected 150 crores. The third film ‘Mersal’ collected 250 crores. The fourth film ‘Bigil’ collected 350 crores. “Jawaan” which hit the Bollywood screen with Shah Rukh Khan, collected 1100 crores together. It became the first high-grossing film in Atlee’s career.

If you look at Muragadas career from 2013? That is, since Atlee became the director, “Thupaaki” has earned 120 crores, and “Holiday” with Akshay Kumar has earned 180 crores. “Kaththi” 128 crores and “Sarkar” 260 crores collections have been registered in Muragadas’s account. It means that there is not even a single film of 500 crore collections in Muragadas’s account. The films “Spider” with Mahesh and “Darbar” with Rajinikanth were released amid huge expectations but turned out to be disasters. In the race for success as a director, the teacher lags far behind the disciple. Commercially, Muragadas films are not connected like Atlee films are connected. Muragadas writes very creative stories and makes films. They will work hard for that. There is a lot of analysis in the story. Atlee’s film stories do not have that much strength. There is no analysis. But Attlee is adamant about connecting to the common audience. That’s why his movies are doing well at the box office.
