Ajay Arasada: Born in Vizag, Ajay Arasada, who worked as an engineering software engineer at Geetam University, chose a career as a music director. In this context, many things related to him were shared. He said that his aunt and elder sisters used to play the veena in his house and he used to observe it from a young age. He said that he learned music by observing closely. His latest periodical web series ‘Vikatakavi’ in which he has given music is entertaining the audience by streaming on G5 from November 28. A special chit chat conversation with music director Ajay Arasada on this occasion is as follows…
* Background of Ajay Arasada..
Born and brought up in Vizag and completed engineering from Geetam University. After working as a software engineer in TCS from 2011 to 2018, he left the job and entered the film industry. In this process, he got very good support from his family.
Why are you interested in music?
He said that his aunts and elder sister used to play the veena in their house, and since he was a child, his interest grew. He said that he learned music by observing closely. In this background, he said that he wanted to learn the guitar first, so he learned the basics for two and a half months from Sarath Master. After that I started learning to play by myself. After joining Geetam University for engineering, he got a bit more time.. But on some occasions, he used to visit colleges, and he got a little grip on music due to hanging out with music bands there.
* How to enter the film industry?
He said that while working as a software engineer from 2011 to 2018, he used to work on some short films. Pradeep Advait introduced me to Jagannatakam director Pradeep who said that by doing this I got good practice. After listening to a 30 second music bit that I had done earlier, I was given a chance in Jagannathakam movie. That was my first step into the film industry. Later I used to work independently. At that time my childhood friend.. music director Sricharan Pakala asked me to work for the key board programming in the movie Gudhachari. After that I worked for the movies Ksheera Sagara Mathanam, Nede Vidudala, Missing and Sriranganeethulu. Along with movies, I have composed music for the web series Save the Tigers season 1 and season 2. He said that he has recently worked for Vikatkavi series.
*Opportunity in the movie Ai..
Producer Bunnyvas, who heard a BGM bit in the musical ‘Missing’ movie, liked it very much. Bunnyvas said that when he came to an event related to that movie, they got to know each other and said that they will definitely work together. Just like that, he was offered an opportunity to work in Ai’s film. But earlier, Bannivas said to give music for an item song along with Ram Bhajan song in Ammala. He said that I also composed those two songs and they liked them very much. He said to do the BGM work along with the rest of the songs. He said that he worked for the movie Ala Ai.
*Periodical Series Vikatakavi Working Experience..
He said that director Pradeep Maddali was very clear about what he wanted and that’s why I didn’t struggle much while working on Vikatkavi series. Directors are my teachers. That’s why director Pradeep Maddali said that he should give the required output. While working for the movie Ai, I did music for three episodes of Vikatakavi series. After the release of Ai, I completed three more episodes. Working alone is a different experience. I am a director’s technician… my priority is to give them the output they want… I am ready to make music for any genre movie or serial.
* Who is your inspiring music director?
I like Devishree Prasad very much.
* Next projects?
Currently working on Three Roses Season 2 and two more web series on Aha. Some movies are being discussed. He said that he will inform the details soon.
