Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is currently recovering after a violent attack left him seriously injured. On the night of the incident, an auto driver named Bhajan Singh Rana played a crucial role in getting him to the hospital on time. Before being discharged, Saif met and embraced Bhajan Singh, expressing his heartfelt gratitude. A photo of their meeting has surfaced online, earning appreciation from netizens. Many praised Saif for acknowledging the driver’s help, while his mother, Sharmila Tagore, also personally thanked Bhajan Singh for his timely assistance.
Bhajan Singh Rana later shared details about that night with the media. He recalled how a woman standing outside a luxurious house asked him to stop, and only after Saif boarded the auto did he realize who he was. Along with him, a child and another person also got into the vehicle. During the short but urgent journey, Saif, who was covered in blood, anxiously asked how much longer it would take to reach the hospital. Bhajan Singh managed to get him there in just ten minutes and did not accept any fare, feeling honored to have helped.
The attack occurred on January 16, when Saif was assaulted by a thug, resulting in severe spinal injuries. Surgeons had to remove a knife from his spine during treatment. Following days of medical care, he was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the police thoroughly investigated the case and arrested the attacker, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, who is now in custody.
