Aaduthu Paaduthu: ఆ సినిమాలో సునీల్ పాసుపోర్టు తినేసిన ఎలుక.. వెనుక ఇంత కధ ఉందా?

Director and actor Devi Prasad recently shared an amusing behind-the-scenes anecdote from his movie Aaduthu Paduthu. The film includes a memorable scene where a rat eats Sunil’s passport, which, according to Devi Prasad, was one of the more challenging yet hilarious moments during the shoot. The scene, in which the rat repeatedly appears and provokes Sunil’s character, Shiva, was captured with great effort and creativity.

During the shooting of the passport-eating rat sequence, the team faced a peculiar challenge. No matter how many rats were used, they refused to interact with the passport. After a long wait and several attempts, the cameraman, Shankar, came up with an innovative solution. He suggested placing thinly sliced cabbage between the pages of the passport. When the rat was placed in front of the book, it naturally began nibbling the cabbage, which, due to its similar color to the pages, appeared as if the rat was eating the passport.

Devi Prasad humorously mentioned that despite the many rats used for the scene, it wasn’t a case of special effects or graphics. In fact, the production team had a real rat in every shot, and the challenge continued once the lights were turned on, as the rats would run away, making the shoot even more chaotic. It’s a testament to the creativity and resourcefulness of the team that this simple yet effective solution worked out for the scene.
