Rashmika Mandanna’s acclaimed movie The Girlfriend made its Netflix debut a few weeks in the past. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the movie has been trending within the second place on the platform. Nevertheless, it has now been pushed down by a brand new entry that has taken the highest spot.
That movie is Kaantha, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Bhagyashri Borse, and Samuthirakani in lead roles. Launched on Netflix final Friday, Kaantha has rapidly climbed to No. 1, overtaking all different titles on the chart.
It’s fascinating to see a movie that underperformed theatrically outpace a critically acclaimed launch on Netflix. Keep tuned for extra such OTT surprises.
