AICC General Secretary and Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir caused a stir on Thursday (November 14) at an election gathering when he said that if the party wins, all people of the state will be given gas tanks for Rs 450, no matter if they are “infiltrators or not.”
Ghulam Ahmed Mir spoke at an election gathering in the Chandrapura area of the Bermo district and said, “We promised that if our government is formed, we will sell gas cylinders for Rs 450 from December 1.” This will be for everyone, whether they are Hindu, Muslim, or an outsider; it will be given to all people of Jharkhand, no matter what.
Congress’s promise makes the BJP angry! The BJP has strongly responded to Congress’s promise, saying that it is “anti-national” and shows that Congress wants to divide people instead of unite them. At the same time that this statement came out, BJP leaders were saying that the alliance run by JMM was protecting people who were breaking into the state for “vote bank politics.”
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Ghulam Ahmed Mir of the Congress party has said that they will give infiltrators gas cylinders for Rs 450.” The government of Congress, JMM, and RJD is supporting people who have come into Jharkhand illegally.
At an election gathering in the Birni area of Giridih district, he said that lakhs of people from other countries had come into Jharkhand and that the government had helped them get voter and food cards.
During a different gathering in Bokaro, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said, “The Congress leader has promised to give cylinders to Hindus, Muslims, and people who have broken in.” No one from outside the tribe will be able to take over their rights, says the BJP.
We will vote again in the second round on November 20. The first round of voting took place on Wednesday, and the results will be tallied on November 23.
