Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan’s latest Telugu movie ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ has been released as a Diwali gift. ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ produced by Suryadevara Nagavanshi and Sai Saujanya under the banners of Sitara Entertainments and Fortunefour Cinemas under Srikara Studios. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. G.V. Prakash Kumar is the music director. Entertaining the audience from all walks of life, this movie is making sensational collections. In this background, director Venky Atluri, who recently met with the media, shared many interesting things.
What kind of satisfaction did the success of ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ give?
Very very satisfying. Everyone heard the story and said it was good. Some expressed doubt that the story is good, but whether it will work out commercially. At such a time music director G.V. Prakash gave me a lot of confidence. Despite the success of my first film ‘Tholiprema’, about five percent people spoke a bit negatively as if it was a love story. But ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ did not get even a single percent such negative response. There has been positive talk everywhere from the premieres. It’s really great that everyone who has seen a movie like this says it’s good. I feel lucky.
What was Dulquer’s first reaction after hearing the story?
Dulquer said that I am doing this film after hearing the first half. When do you want to shoot? How many dates do you want? asked. Dulquer strongly believed that ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ would succeed.
How was Dulquer on the set?
The hero is the main pillar of the movie set. If the hero is dull, the whole set is dull. Dulquer used to come in the morning with full energy. He believed in this story and was so happy on set that he got such a good output. Those who read the scenes and dialogues and appreciate that they are good. Because of that I used to write more enthusiastically and better.
Before the release, Nagavanshi said that he would give the party if he showed the wrong in this.. Was he so confident from the beginning?
When I first wrote the story, I didn’t think it would be such a huge movie. I am thinking that I can shoot in real locations and complete it in a low budget. But Vamsi believed this story very much. It was decided to lay sets to bring the story less heaviness. They believed in the story so much that Vamsi made the movie on a huge scale without compromising anywhere.
Is it a banking background? What precautions were taken while writing the story?
I did a lot of research. I have seen some series. But they are not technically understandable by common audience. Taking care in that regard, every scene was written so that even small children could understand it.
What is the greatest praise for Lucky Bhaskar?
Not one, not one. Everyone is appreciating that the movie is good.
What will your next film be?
The genre of the film has not yet been decided. Currently have some story ideas. Will definitely try to entertain with another good movie.
