Dulquer, who reached the Telugu audience with successful films like ‘Mahanati’ and ‘Seetharaman’, achieved a hat-trick of success with ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ and earned an indelible place in the hearts of the Telugu audience. ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ is produced by Suryadevara Nagavanshi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sitara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas under the banner of Srikara Studios. Directed by director Venky Atluri, Meenakshi Chaudhary acted as the heroine and GV Prakash Kumar gave the music. ‘Lucky Bhaskar’, which was released in theaters as a gift for Diwali, is entertaining audiences from all walks of life and making sensational collections. In this background, the protagonist Dulquer Salmaan, who recently met with the media, shared many interesting things.
Reason for making ‘Lucky Bhaskar’?
While narrating the story of Venky, after hearing the first half, I thought this movie must be made. Taking the background of banking and telling the story of a middle class family felt new. I always wanted to play a middle-class father that was close to reality. It is fulfilled with this movie. In my view this is a true story. If someone like Harshad Mehta is doing a massive scan in the background, a small bank employee scanning in his area is a new point. As this is a film based on banking, Venky did a lot of research. It is remarkable that people from the banking sector also say that there are no mistakes in this.
There are negative shades in the role of ‘Lucky Bhaskar’.. What kind of work did you do?
Nothing special was done. As an actor you have to do all kinds of roles. People like Shah Rukh Khan have also done roles with negative shades. To bring out the actor in us, we have to do such diverse roles. There are many emotions in Bhaskar’s character. As an actor, such roles give satisfaction.
Did you face any challenges while shooting?
Didn’t seem challenging. I enjoyed doing every scene, every day. Enjoyed every step. This movie is very satisfying.
