The makers of Tollywood’s ‘Laggam’ will impress the audience with its full emotional content. They have been saying in the promotions that this movie made in Telangana dialect will entertain with good emotions. And let’s see in this review how much this movie, which was released in theaters today, impressed the audience.
Story:
Rajendra Prasad wants to marry his nephew Chaitanya (Sai Ronak), who works as a software engineer in Hyderabad, to his daughter Manasa (Pragya Nagra). To this extent, he talks to his sister (Rohini) and establishes a relationship. She also wants to marry her niece to her son. Arrangements for the wedding are also made in this order. Unexpectedly, their marriage ends. Why did their marriage stop? Who is the reason for their marriage to stop? Has Manasa really agreed to marry Chaitanya? Will they get married in the end or not..? You have to watch the movie to know.
Plus Points:
The native story in the movie ‘Laggam’ will impress the audience. In pure Telangana dialect, the traditions of the place are once again introduced to the audience. A story with good emotions makes the movie interesting. Although the actors are not from Telangana, their Telangana accent is impressive.
Especially Sai Ronak has acted well in his role. He showed good talent in action and emotional scenes. Actress Rohini also impressed the audience with her performance. Comedians like Raghubabu, Saptagiri and Raccha Ravi impressed. BGM is another major asset of this movie. The song with a mass beat in the second half and the emotional song in the climax are both impressive. A tragedy scene in the second half and the performance of the actors in the climax will impress the audience.
Minus Points:
Despite the emotional content, the pace of this movie is very slow. Especially in the first half, most of the flat scenes are not impressive to the audience. Lack of interesting elements and catchy songs damaged the first half. The minus is that the scope of giving a big performance to the actors is not seen in the first half.
Although the story goes into a bit more serious mode in the second half, the audience feels as if the movie is stretched by adding unnecessary comedy. Even the senior artistes seem to forcefully utter the dialogues which does not impress the audience. It has to be said that the second half was completely focused on emotion and the action was missing.
Technical Department:
Although the story chosen by the director is good, more care should be taken in its execution. The screenplay in the first half was slow as the focus was on emotion. It must be said that the narration of the story is also weak. Charan Arjun’s music is impressive in just two songs. Mani Sharma BGM has cultivated the emotional scenes. Bal Reddy’s cinematography is good. The atmosphere of the village has been shown very colorfully. Care should be taken in editing. It would have been better if some scenes had been removed. Build values are good.
Verdict:
In this movie with the interesting title of ‘Laggam’, the point chosen is good, but the way it is presented is somewhat unimpressive. Slow progress of the screenplay and lack of catchy songs are the minuses of the movie. Overall those who like emotional content will like ‘Laggam’ movie quite a bit.
