Elders keep telling us that we should never forget our motherland and our mother tongue but it is a fact that we are getting closer to modernity and forgetting our roots. In this order, it is noteworthy that even in the mediums that provide major entertainment like cinema, the mother tongue is being sidelined. Pan India level films are coming in many languages now.
But the fact that almost all the movies have titles in Telugu on the posters has reduced a lot. There is no difference between big and small heroes, almost the same situation is seen in our Telugu movies. Tamil and Kannada speaking people in the neighboring states are very fond of their language but in the case of our Telugu audience, everything looks different.
It is good that Telugu movies are showing their strength with the world cinema, but it will reduce the popularity of Telugu characters. Currently, except for some young directors, many star directors have stopped giving them in Telugu language in the opening titles of the movies. It is also noteworthy that good care is being taken in Tamil movies which are being translated into Telugu.
Currently in Tollywood, at least for many movies posters in Telugu are not seen much, that is how our situation has changed. Despite the release in many languages, most of the titles and posters are seen in English, except for the ones that appear in our language with our characters.
We are in a situation where we are not able to give the titles in Telugu by making films from Telugu cinema, so there is no other level beyond this.. And if the Telugu film industry is focusing on this, we have to see if the Telugu audience will watch it no matter what.
