Film fair continues in Tollywood especially for Dussehra and Sankranti festivals. In the same order, this Dussehra too, many films made noise at the box office. However, let’s take a look at which film has given success this Dussehra and which film has left disappointment.
This time Dussehra season was started by Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. His film ‘Vettayan’ was released amidst huge expectations with huge casting. However, the film failed to impress the audience as the story resembled a routine commercial film. Although there is a response at the theatres, it has to be said that in terms of collections, Rajini has not been able to meet the stamina. Fans who were hoping for a repeat of the magic of his last movie ‘Jailor’ are left disappointed.
And macho star Gopichand’s ‘Viswam’ also came amid good expectations. The film was released on the occasion of Dussehra, marked as his mark by the crazy director of yesteryear Srinu Vaitla. But, lack of guts in the story..Sreenu Vaytla’s mark vintage comedy seems to be routine and this movie also fetched average result. The makers have promoted that the film ‘Ma Nanna Super Hero’ starring Navadalapati Sudhir Babu will be made with an emotional story. With this, the audience was curious to see if this movie would be the winner of Dussehra. However, critics also suggest that films with such an emotional ride would have been better if they were released in OTT. Due to this, this movie is not getting the expected response in theaters.
Suhas, who is waiting for box office success, has come this time with the movie ‘Janaka If Ganaka’. Due to lack of proper promotions, this movie could not create buzz. In addition, Suhas’ previous film ‘Gorre Puranam’ was a disaster at the box office and the effect was evident. Coming from the banner of Dil Raju Productions, which has produced blockbuster films like ‘Balagam’, the film is disappointing due to lack of compelling elements in the story. As this film also flopped, Suhas had to wait a little longer for box office success.
Apart from these Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ and Kannada hero Dhruva Sarja’s ‘Martin’ have hit the Dussehra ring without much buzz in Telugu. But the audience is not paying attention to these movies. However, Man of Masses NTR starrer ‘Devara’ is continuing its stable run in its third week. As the Dussehra releases don’t have a big hit, the Telugu audience is voting for ‘Devara’.
Among all the films that came out during Dussehra, the audience voted for ‘Viswam’ along with Gopichand’s image and 30 Years Prithvi’s comedy. However, it is noteworthy that this movie did not impress in its entirety. And comment which of the movies released in this Dussehra season you like.
