Well-crafted horror comedy entertainers are always popular among Hindi audiences. Regardless of the star cast, many such films have done well at the box office, Munjya being the latest example. It stars Abhay Varma and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles. The box office trend of the movie is unbelievable. Munjya opened with a net collection of 4 crores at the box office. It cemented its position at the box office by having a solid hold over the week.
Munjya’s second weekend collections were bigger than Karthik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion’s first weekend numbers. Munjya did not stop there and started the race towards the 100 crore mark. Everyone expected Munjya’s run to end with the arrival of Prabhas Kalki in 2898 AD. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has been attracting audiences to theaters in limited shows, despite losing a lot of screens with the release of Kalki. On day 25, Munjya crossed the Rs 100 crore nett mark in India. After Fighter and Saitan, it is the third film from Bollywood to achieve this milestone this year.
