Review: ‘Vettayan’ – A regular suspense thriller with action!

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s latest movie is ‘Vettayan’. Directed by director Gyanvel, this movie has hit the screens today. And let’s go to the review and find out how much this movie pleased the audience!

Story:

Athiyan (Rajinikanth) is an encounter specialist. Atiyan is a person who feels that justice has been done even if there is an encounter if injustice has been done and the injustice has crossed the limits. Athiyan is introduced to school teacher Sharanya (Dushara Vijayan) through a similar problem. Atiyan admires her for her bravery against injustice. Amidst some dramatic developments in this sequence, the school teacher Sharanya is brutally killed. Who is the person who actually killed her?, How did Athiyan kill an innocent person in this murder case?, How did Athiyan finally find the real killer?, What is the role of Nataraj (Rana) in this whole story? That is the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Rajinikanth acted as a powerful encounter specialist. Especially Rajini’s style is the highlight of the movie. Also, Rajinikanth’s mass elevations and action scenes are also thrilling. On the one hand Amitabh Bachchan who thinks that the bad guys who commit serious crimes and get away with justice should be punished and on the other hand Rajinikanth’s character who thinks that justice should be done even if it goes beyond the limits.. The way these two characters are designed is good. Amitabh is convincing in his role.

The scenes between Rajinikanth and Rana Daggubati and the dialogues between them are also good. Rana also acted very well. Rana’s role was also well established in the second half. Fahadh Fazil, who played another key role in the film, also connected with his role. Manju Varrier and Ritika Singh impressed in the other lead roles. Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh and the rest of the cast also impressed with their performance.

It is good to drive the first half by taking a serious turn in the story with a murder. Anirudh’s background score is the highlight of the entire movie. Director Gyanvel has elevated the emotional content as well as the action elements in this film.

Minus Points:

Director T.J. Although the main point taken by Gnanavel, and the main characters, the conflict between those characters is very impressive… the movie lacks the interesting elements as expected. Moreover, the serious treatment written by the director while elevating the story would have been better if it had been more emotional without lag.

Also, some boring scenes in the second half should also be reduced. Mainly, if Rana’s character had been written logically and with a strong conflict, the film would have got a better foot out. However, although the main characters written by the director and the scenes from the point of view of those characters are impressive, the investigation scenes are very slow and the second half is not interesting.

Technical Department:

Talking about the technical experts… the music provided by the music director Anirudh Ravichander is good. Especially in the action scenes, the background score given by Anirudh Ravichander is very good. The editing is good, but if the second half was trimmed more tightly, it would have been a plus for the movie. S.R. Kathir’s cinematography is also impressive. He showed the visuals in the action scenes very naturally. The production values ​​followed by producer A. Subhaskaran are very good.

The action scenes and emotional content along with Rajni’s style and acting in this movie ‘Vettayan’ which came as a perfect crime action thriller with perfect action packed are the highlights of the movie. Otherwise, some scenes are boring, and the second half play is not interesting at some places. Overall, this movie will only connect with superstar fans as well as crime action drama lovers.
