Review : Gorre Puranam : Silly Comedy Drama !

Gorre Puranam is a movie starring Suhas, Posani Krishna Murali and Raghu in lead roles. Produced by Praveen Reddy under the banner of Focal Ventures, this movie is directed by Bobby. But today this film has come before the audience. And let’s go to the review and find out to what extent it pleased the audience!

Story:

Ravi (Suhas) murders a man and goes to jail. On the other hand, a sheep sees a distant village and tries to go there. In this order a Muslim man buys the sheep for Juba. When the sheep realizes that it is being killed, it runs away. In order to catch that sheep, there is a fight between Muslims and Hindus. Why did Muslims and Hindus fight over that sheep?, What kind of panchayat was done on that sheep?, What kind of cases were filed?, Why did the media highlight that sheep?, So.. Why did Ravi kill him?, Finally, how did the story of that sheep turn? That is the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Comedy seems to be okay in one or two places in this sheep story called Gorre Puranam. However, the director made an attempt to satirize some serious issues in the society. In this order, satires were also well cast on the media and politicians. Suhas who played the hero in this movie acted very well in some emotional sequences. Posani Krishnamurali, Raghu and rest of the cast also acted well.

Minus Points:

The matter which is the main point of this sheep myth is not in the movie. Director Bobby failed to write the screenplay to suit his point. When a concept like this is taken, the movie should be exciting and blood-curdling throughout, but it is completely missing in this Gorre Puranam movie.

Also the director was not impressed in designing the rest of the characters including the character of Suhas. Even in the scenes written to thrill the audience, there was more confusion. Did Pony connect the story emotionally? That means no. Why did Suhas’s character commit murder in the middle? It can also be said as interesting.

The story revolves around a sheep, but the sheep’s point of view is nowhere near compelling drama. You can’t expect acting from a sheep anyway, so the voice over was given to that sheep. It would have been better if Pony had increased interest in the second half with that voice. Finally this sheep fable lacks interest as well as logic. Moreover, silly tracks are also minus in the movie. Overall this movie is very disappointing.

Technical Department:

Technically, the work of the technical department in the film is also not good. Otherwise, Pawan CH’s music is a plus for the movie. The cinematography is not good. The cameraman’s work in some key scenes is not good. The editor’s work is in line with the film. The production values ​​followed by the producer Praveen Reddy in the movie are average. Director Bobby doesn’t write thrilling storylines.

Verdict:

This film which came out as ‘Gorre Puranam’ was very disappointing. Along with the uninteresting treatment, weak main characterizations, lack of matter in the story, fake emotions in the movie, logic-less drama also hurt the outcome of the movie. Overall this ‘Gore Purana’ is not impressive in any sense.
