“Aho Vikramarka” is the latest pan India action movie made by the talented actor Dev Gill, who impressed as the villain in the Tollywood industry hit “Magadheera”. Let’s see the review of this film which has hit the theaters today.

Story:

Coming to the story.. the entire background of this movie is set in Pune. There the people who are a bit stronger in Parvati slum are taken to Dandaka area in the name of work. But those who went there do not come back even after years pass. Vikramarka (Dev Gill) comes to the same area as an SS. How will he become a corrupt policeman and bring back the people who were taken from that Parvati slum? Who is the Asura (Pravin Turde) who rules what is actually Dandaka? What are you doing taking people there? What is the role of his girlfriend Archana (Chitra Shukla) in this background? If you want to know who this Vikramarka is, you must watch this movie.

Plus Points:

First of all, it is said that the hero Dev Gill, who was seen only in one angle as a villain all these years, has shown a good shade as a hero in this film. Mass moments on him as main are good. It must be said that Dev with a solid physique is impressive. Also, he has done many emotional scenes well in his acting. And the dance is also good from him.

Actress Chitra Shukla appeared in the role of Decent. His looks are good. Set next to the on screen hero. Also Praveen Turde, who played Asura in negative shades, showed solid villainy and his performance in his role was good. Also, Kalakeya Prabhakar, Tejaswini Pandit and others are impressive in terms of their range of roles in their roles. The score given by Ravi Basrur in the movie showed many scenes effectively. The interval block fight sequence is good.

Minus Points:

It must be said that there are many disappointing elements in this film. One or two minutes in the starting seems to be good but from there the movie continues with the most routine narration. Same hero-heroine entry scenes, silly love story line and cruel villains who take the people to a place and torture them there knowing that they are useless if anyone tries to run away, we saw them in KJF.

And if you look at the hero characterization, you will not remember the films of one temper and one patas. This film seems to be a combination of many mass films. With this, the film seems a bit boring and dull. It must be said that after an okay first half, the second half will test the audience’s patience. Many over scenes are shown without logic.

It should be said that the naturalness was reduced in the second half by adding unnecessary gestures to show the hero as a mass. We can predict some twists in the story. So the movie does not seem very exciting. Also the climax portion also feels very weak. Even the songs are not good in the movie but some of them are inserted unnecessarily. Also, the sentiment in the pre-climax is overworked, and if you watch that scene, it seems that it is overdone. So these also did not work out.

Technical category:

The production values are rich in this film. Action part design is good. The songs are below average. But in many scenes, the score given by music director Ravi Basrur is in a range. He gave a good stylish score in many scenes and elevated them. And the cinematography is okay. Many scenes need to be trimmed in editing. Two songs had to be removed in the second half.

When it comes to the director Peta Trikoti.. it must be said that he has given below average work as a director. He chose a very routine background but wanted to present the story a little differently. This movie feels like a mixed fruit juice of many mass movies. The villains and the hero characterization seem very week as the absolute routine. Some mass scenes and action scenes on Dev are good but the rest of the movie is very weak.

Verdict:

Overall, Dev Gill impresses as the hero in this movie “Aho Vikramarka”. His personality and performances are good. Especially the action scenes make the mass audience feel okay. But there is no proper story or narrative in the movie. The director has directed this film with a very routine plot and screenplay. Moreover, emotions that are not worked out, the second half of the movie will depress the audience. But with these the film remains a boring mass drama.
