Star beauty Trisha’s debut web series Brinda is finally streaming today on the OTT platform Sony Liv. In this review, let’s see how this web series that has been creating interest for a long time is doing.

Story:

Brinda (Trisha), a superintendent of police in Hyderabad, becomes suspicious when a man’s death is filmed as a suicide. She decides to investigate the case. In this investigation, she will come to know the facts of many deaths. She discovers that a murderer is doing all this. Who is behind these deaths? Why is he doing these murders..? Why does the team investigate this case so keenly? Team web series is the answer to all these.

Plus Points:

Trisha has been very smart in choosing the story for her first web series. Her best choice is to pick a good crime investigation thriller. Trisha has acted as an honest police inspector very well. Trisha has carried all kinds of emotions well in her role.

Ravindra Vijay also gave a good performance in the role of Sarathi. He played the role of always helping Trisha as part of the investigation. Anand Samy’s performance is also solid. His expressions brought more depth to this web series.

Rakendu Mouli, Indrajith and Jayaprakash also showed good acting. Rest of the actors also did full justice to their roles.

This web series grabs the attention of the audience right from the start. The first four episodes create interest in the audience. Screenplay, suspense, twists at the end of each episode are good and make it more interesting. The background score is also well done.

Minus Points:

The violent scenes in this web series may not impress some sections of audience especially the family audience.

The screenplay is strong in most of the episodes. But, some scenes are very slow moving which is a bit annoying. It seems to focus more on the killer’s flashback. This scene could have been shortened. After the villain was revealed, the director had to take the story a bit faster.

They clearly showed what was the killer’s motto. But, the emotional impact in some scenes should have been stronger, especially in the last episode. This web series would have been more effective if it had been shortened to 6 episodes instead of 8.

Technical Department:

The performance of the technical department who worked for this web series is good. Cinematography, music and production values are very good. Editing should have been better. Many scenes should have been trimmed.

Director Surya Manoj Vangala has given a good thrilling experience with this web series. The screenplay of Padmavati Malladi was very impressive.

Verdict:

Overall, it can be said that Brinda is the best among the recently released web series. As an engaging crime thriller, it has impressed the audience throughout. Trisha, Anand Samy and Indrajith Ravindra Vijay’s amazing performances along with Surya Manoj Vanga’s direction made this web series interesting. Barring some objectionable scenes, long run time and some lag scenes, it must be said that Brinda is a good choice for those who like crime thrillers.
