“Buddy” is the latest film of Allu’s young hero who took a gap. This interesting thriller which created good interest with the trailer teasers has hit the theaters today. Let’s see how this movie is in the review.
Story:
Coming to the story.. Aditya Ram (Allu Sirish) works as a pilot in Vizag. Along with him, Pallavi (Gayatri Bharadwaj) also works there as an air control controller. This is how Aditya falls in love. But due to an unexpected incident she gets kidnapped. At this point her spirit enters a teddy bear. What will Pallavi do from there, who has turned into a teddy bear? How does she meet Aditya? Does Aditya believe that he is Pallavi or not? Where is Pallavi Body? Will her soul remain in Teddy in the end? What will Aditya do in this sequence? If you want to know, you have to watch this movie.
Plus Points:
Allu Shirish gave his own performance in this film. It must be said that he gave a good performance as a pilot with good stylish looks. Also, especially some scenes with Teddy but in the scenes where he saves his girlfriend, Allu Sirish appears with his Mark Eze. Also his comedy timing is good in this film.
Actress Gayatri Bharadwaj, who appeared alongside him, appeared with decent looks and gave a good performance. Also the tracks between both are good. Their chemistry on screen is good. Also there are some trendy and funny dialogues in the movie which are impressive. Also, some scenes are suitable for young children.
Minus Points:
Buddy’s film seems to be struggling in many ways. The main plot may seem new to some and routine to some. We have seen in many movies that a soul comes and meets a doll and the movie starts from there.
And those who have seen the movie Teddy in Tamil will know this line very well. And according to the story in Telugu, there are some changes and additions, but these are not fully impressive. Also the logic in many scenes is not correct. Comedy is seen inappropriately in some scenes.
Also, the roles of Ali, Mukesh Rishi and Ajmal Aamir in the film seem incomplete with weak characterization. Also, many scenes seem to have been well stretched by the director. Also, most of the comedy scenes were not well worked out.
Technical category:
The production values in this film are not in the desired range for the concept. Most of the visuals in the movie look unnatural. The VFX work looks very weak. Hip hop is in the range where tamil music doesn’t seem to matter. Reuben’s editing should be better. The visuals given by Krishnan Vasanth are nothing.
When it comes to the director San Anton… I have to say that he could not do justice to this film. He leads the line with a very average screenplay which has a chance to be said as engaging. Most of these elements are seen in the predictable range and he has made it as if it has been stretched without much excitement.
Verdict:
Overall, this “Buddy” is seen in a concept that appeals to children, but it has failed to impress all sections of the audience. The main lead doesn’t seem to matter, some moments are good, but the range of things that make you immerse yourself in the movie is not much. The correct article is missing as main. So it’s okay only for children but the rest of the audience is not impressed by Buddy.
