Kannada star hero Upendra’s latest movie ‘UI’. This film which is a psychological action thriller was released today. And let’s go to the review and find out how much the audience liked this film!
Story:
If nature is destroyed by some selfish people in the society.. If Kalki vs. Satya is born from the result of those consequences.. What are the dramatic aspects of this sequence? This story goes on in the sense. If some wicked person spoils a mother… Satya (Upendra) will be born in that mother’s womb. Satya is a person who dedicates his life for the four people around him in the days when he beats the four and steals their belongings. Everyone admires Satya for his goodness. Then Kalki (Upendra) makes an entry into the story. Who is the real Kalki?, What is his past?, Why does he have so much hatred for the society?, What is the carnage that Kalki did with that hatred?, Finally, what twists and turns will the story of ‘Satya-Kalki’ take?, What did the good-seeking Satya do? ? That’s the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Upendra has once again made his mark at the box office with this movie, which is a psychological thriller with an innovative concept on nature. No matter what the story is, the elements that we want from Upendra are good in the film. Upendra has made this movie as a psychological action thriller as he said earlier. Especially Kalki Bhagavan vs. Satya track, Upendra’s one man show scenes… Mainly vintage Upendra looks good in some scenes. Mainly Upendra’s mannerisms as well as his dialogues are good.
Upendra, who played both the roles of Kalki and Satya, acted well. He acted very well especially in his dialogue delivery and his body language as well as in the action sequences. Reeshma Nanaiah, who acted as the heroine opposite Upendra, also looked beautiful and impressed with her performance. Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar and Sadhu Kokila, who appeared in key roles in the film, have been convincing in their roles. Also the rest of the actors have acted well in their role. Some scenes written by Upendra as a director are also entertaining.
Minus Points:
In fact, Upendra’s film is naturally interesting. Moreover, this movie is a psychological action thriller. Expectations have also increased. However, this movie could not meet those expectations at all. Although Upendra’s taking and making is good.. he is good at confusing the audience, moving the film forward in a chaotic manner without expecting what will actually happen, without any plot in the story.. and writing the play as he likes.
Some scenes were shown at the start of the movie saying that this is a movie with a deep intellectual meaning. But, in this movie, Mater has no match for that scene. However, Upendra’s satirical approach to the film with a new concept is good. But, if the screenplay is run without logic and without building interest, how will the audience get involved in the movie?, the original psychological action thriller means.. The play should be exciting and blood-curdling all the time, but this movie did not go like that.
Upendra made a good effort to make the second half emotional with some depth and action elements, but it didn’t work out effectively on the screen. It would have been a plus for the movie if the unnecessary scenes had been trimmed. Moreover, the characterizations of Kalki and Satya in the film are also weak. On the whole, the film misses the interesting elements.
Technical Department:
Upendra, who was successful in taking a good story setting and plot, struggled in writing thrilling scenes. But, the scenes created by him are impressive. Music director Ajanish Loknath’s music is good. H.C. Venugopal’s cinematography work is a special attraction of the movie. Editing is also not good. The producers believed in Upendra’s idea and tried to present a diverse film to the audience. The production values of G. Manoharan and KP Srikanth as producers are very good.
Verdict:
This psychological action thriller called ‘UI’ is varied but fails to give a new experience. Otherwise, Upendra’s take on the plot, some action scenes and some thrilling elements are impressive aspects of the movie. However, many of the scenes are regular and slow, and the play is chaotic without a plot. However, those who love Upendra’s films may find some aspects of the film to be objectionable. Overall, this movie does not connect with the Telugu audience.
