BRS and Congress clash in Assembly

BRS and Congress: The E-Formula car race controversy in the Telangana Assembly came to a head on Saturday. An argument broke out between the members of BRS and Congress, causing a ruckus in the House. On this occasion, BRS members protested in front of the podium. With this, the Speaker adjourned the House for 15 minutes. At this point, leaders like Congress members Padi Kaushik Reddy and Vivekananda Goud threw papers, while BRS members rushed into the well.

The situation in the House became more tense, papers were even thrown on top of the Speaker. Earlier, Bodh MLA Anil Jadhav threw papers. In this background, former minister Harish Rao is also going to reach the podium. While the BRS demanded a discussion on the Formula E-Cars race, the Congress members did not support the discussion after the ACB case was registered in this regard. Congress leader Revuri Prakash Reddy lashed out at BRS for forgetting the rules and obstructing the discussion.

Harish Rao accused the government of conspiring to tarnish KTR’s reputation. He challenged that illegal cases have been filed on the issue of Formula E-cars race and if the government is honest, it should be debated in the assembly. The verbal arguments between BRS and Congress on this issue of civil relations increased the tension in the House. The Speaker and senior members of the House also said that the Bhubharati Bill, which has almost all the support, should be debated.

Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar warned BRS members that obstructing the meeting was not the right way. He said that the House should not be misled. He also disapproves of attacking a Dalit speaker. Ministers Ponguleti and Vemula Veeresham strongly condemned the incident. These kinds of developments in today’s assembly meeting have led to heated debates in political circles.
