Review : ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ – Mythological and Future Visual Wonder!

Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin starring Prabhas as the protagonist. The film, which the Indian film industry is eagerly waiting for, has released today amid huge expectations.

Story:

In the future, Kashi town will be the only one in the lifeless stage where the whole world has lost its resources. There Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) creates a wonderful world called complex and leads the area. People on the ground under the complex are suffering and living in pain. Bhairava (Prabhas) who stays there has a strong desire to go and live in the complex. Bhairava makes various efforts for that. In the background of some dramatic developments in this order, the people of Supreme Yaskin will understand that Kalki (God) is going to come again after 6000 thousand years. With this, Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) comes to save Sumathi (Deepika Padukone)’s womb god. Bhairava is blocking it. And what happened in this sequence?, Who is the real Bhairava?, So, what is the Supreme Askin’s motive?, Finally Sumati was saved by Ashwatthama? or ? That’s the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

The movie is made with a very big budget, combining mythology and the future, as well as the performance of Prabhas, Amitabh and other top actors, amazing visuals, state-of-the-art VFX and huge action episodes are the special attractions of this movie. Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattham and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin lived in their roles. Another plus point for this movie is that both of them are seen together in the same movie after a gap of almost 40 years. Especially Kamal Haasan’s Supreme Askin look is very good. Similarly, even at the age of 81, Amitabh impressed with his action in the role of Ashwatthama.

And Prabhas expressed the shades of Bhairava very well. The action sequences between Prabhas and Amitabh are also very good. Prabhas gave life to his role. Overall, Prabhas was the highlight of this movie with his looks and action. Deepika Padukone got a very good role. She entertained the Lord as a mother. Actress Shobhana shines in her role. Rajendra Prasad also acted very well in another key role. Also, Disha Patani, Pashupati, Anna Ben along with the rest of the cast also did full justice to their roles.

The story of ‘Kalki’ moves between three worlds. Despite the depth in the background of the story of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, some scenes in the first half are slow. Also, the main conflict between the main characters in the main plot needs to be well established. Also some incidents seem too cinematic. It would have been better if Shambala Rebels had shown the emotions of the battle for tomorrow more strongly. Similarly, it would have been better if Bhairava’s character had been given some elevations in the first half as shown in the climax.

Technical Department:

Technically, the work of the technical department in the film is very good. Santhosh Narayanan’s music is a plus for the movie. Similarly, Djordje Stoziljkovic’s cinematography is the highlight of the film. The cameraman’s work in some key scenes is very good. Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s editing is good. The production values ​​done by producer Ashwani Dutt in the movie are amazing and director Nag Ashwin impressed with his writing and direction.

Coming as a high voltage action and emotional entertainer combining mythology and the future, this film is very impressive with its unique story theme and biggest star cast. This movie is giving a full kick to Prabhas fans as well as general audience. Along with the grand action visuals, Prabhas’ screen presence, and Amitabh’s action, Kamal’s different look, and the action and emotions of the story are also very good. Otherwise, some of the action scenes feel regular. But, overall, this movie impressed the audience. Without a doubt, Prabhas is giving full praise to his fans.
