Allu Aravind Breaks Silence On 'AA Naluguru' Allegations - Gulte

As Tollywood navigates through a turbulent phase—marked by a theatre strike and Pawan Kalyan’s fiery open letter to producers—veteran producer Allu Aravind has come forward to address growing speculation around his role in the industry’s alleged power circle, widely referred to as ‘AA Naluguru’.

In a recent press interaction, Allu Aravind firmly denied being part of any such group that allegedly controls Telugu film distribution and exhibition across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “People have been throwing around this label for the past 15 years,” he said, “but I am not part of it.” He also clarified that he owns only 15 theatres in Andhra Pradesh and has no interest in expanding that footprint.

Addressing the ongoing theatre strike, Aravind criticized the timing of the protest, especially when the industry is already battling recovery challenges post-pandemic. He emphasized the importance of strategic unity and practical negotiations instead of halting releases or blocking business.

Furthermore, Allu Aravind called it a mistake that top Tollywood representatives failed to meet Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu after he assumed office. “This disconnect with leadership will only harm the industry’s interests,” he warned.

With the industry under pressure, Aravind’s candid statements bring clarity and open up fresh conversations about power dynamics and accountability within Tollywood.
