Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Sikandar’ has turned into a major box office disappointment. Despite a high-profile team and huge expectations, the film grossed just over ₹100 crore nett in India, underperforming even compared to Salman’s previous flop, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, marking his return to Hindi cinema, Sikandar failed to connect with audiences. The film’s star-studded cast — including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj — was unable to save the film from lackluster reviews and poor word of mouth.
Reflecting its poor theatrical run, Sikandar is set to premiere on Netflix from May 25, just weeks after release. This early OTT debut signals the film’s inability to perform well at the box office.
The movie’s music, composed by Pritam with a background score by Santosh Narayanan, also failed to generate significant buzz among fans.
