Deepika Padukone Out of Prabhas's 'Spirit' Movie

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is making headlines in Tollywood circles after reportedly exiting Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-awaited film Spirit. Sources reveal that Deepika’s strict work terms — particularly her 6-hour daily work limit — along with high logistical expenses for her personal team from Mumbai, proved difficult for the producers to accommodate. As a result, the director and team decided to part ways.

However, Deepika isn’t slowing down. She is now set to join an upcoming pan-India sci-fi action film directed by Atlee, starring Allu Arjun in a dual role. This massive project, produced by Sun Pictures, is being mounted on a staggering ₹700 crore budget — one of the costliest films in Indian cinema. Reportedly, Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor are also in talks for pivotal roles.

Currently in the pre-production phase, the film is expected to go on floors by August 2025. But fans are already buzzing online, debating whether Deepika’s reported demands will impact the production of this mega-budget spectacle. Some netizens question if Atlee’s team can handle her work style better than Vanga’s team.

With Allu Arjun’s Pan-India popularity, Atlee’s blockbuster track record, and a Hollywood-level vision for storytelling and visuals, expectations are sky-high. If Deepika’s involvement is confirmed, this collaboration is poised to become one of the biggest sensations in Indian cinema.
