Range Rover GT: An Electric Grand Tourer Unveiled

Range Rover GT: An electric grand tourer unveiled. This new model joins the Range Rover family as a sleek, low-slung alternative to the brand’s traditional SUVs. Unlike any previous Range Rover, the GT is a fully electric grand tourer with a coupe-like fastback silhouette, wrapped in camouflage inspired by the Gaydon landscape. It promises long-distance comfort, effortless performance, and the all-terrain capability Range Rover is known for.

The Range Rover GT is the first model built on JLR’s new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform. While initial powertrain details like battery size and range remain undisclosed, the platform is designed to support both full electric and future hybrid options. This marks a significant shift for the brand, moving into a more road-focused, car-like body style.

Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist design with a single-screen layout and a digital driver’s display, removing most physical buttons for a calmer experience. Premium materials, hidden air vents, and class-leading second-row legroom enhance the luxury. Range Rover claims this makes the GT their most technologically sophisticated model, reducing visual and acoustic distractions during long journeys.

Despite its new shape, the Range Rover GT maintains all-weather confidence and genuine off-road versatility. It blends grand tourer refinement with the brand’s famed go-anywhere spirit. The full global debut is expected later this year, with sales beginning in 2027. The Range Rover GT represents a bold new chapter for the marque, combining luxury, electric performance, and unmatched capability in a fresh, modern package.
