• Interim bail for Allu Arjun
  • High Court granted bail

Allu Arjun was sent to Chanchalguda jail after being remanded for 14 days by the Nampally court after he was arrested in the Sandhya theater stampede case. At a time when it was thought that he would be remanded in jail for another 14 days, there was controversy over the quash petition filed by him. In this context, the High Court granted him bail. The court ruled that the sections laid down in this case are not applicable to Allu Arjun. The High Court ruled that Allu Arjun cannot be denied exemptions applicable to a common citizen just because he is an actor.

Stating that Allu Arjun also has the right to life, the High Court asked the police whether the offenses under Section 105 B 118 should be attributed to Allu Arjun as he is only an actor. The High Court has sympathized with Revathi’s family and commented that the crime cannot be imposed on the accused. After hearing the arguments of both sides, Allu Arjun was finally granted interim bail. Allu Arjun’s lawyers are trying to bring him out of Chanchalguda Jail. The High Court said that the case will be adjourned to next Thursday.
