Vijay Deverakonda: A Decade of Stardom and Inspiration

Vijay Deverakonda: A decade of stardom and inspiration began exactly ten years ago with the release of his first solo lead film, Pelli Choopulu, on this day in 2016. While he had earlier gained recognition through Yevade Subramanyam, it was Pelli Choopulu that introduced him to a wider audience and became a major box office hit. From that point, his career took off with no looking back.

Vijay Deverakonda soon delivered a string of successful films including Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, Taxiwaala, Kushi, and Kingdom, which established him as a PAN-India star. His special appearance as Arjuna in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD further cemented his appeal. By taking on big-ticket entertainers, he has significantly contributed to expanding the reach of Telugu cinema across India.

Beyond cinema, Vijay Deverakonda has built the Rowdy Wear brand and actively supports social causes through The Deverakonda Foundation. Recently, he provided scholarships to 180 talented students from poor backgrounds in Mahabubnagar district, reflecting his kind-hearted nature. His journey from a small film with no industry background to a major star continues to inspire newcomers and demonstrates that hard work and perseverance can lead to remarkable achievements.

Looking ahead, Vijay Deverakonda has an exciting lineup. He is currently working on Rowdy Janardhana, produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, set for a December release. He is also part of Ranabaali under Rahul Sankrityan’s direction, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, and another film with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv. Vijay’s journey over this decade, marked by successes, failures, highs, and lows, remains an inspiring story of growth and resilience.
